I am a Christian, a mother (to my beautiful, amazing eleven-year-old daughter), a wife (for twenty-five years to an amazing, professional soldier--just retired after 29 years), a teacher (an eighteen-year veteran and counting), and a learner. I love the dream of traveling, but cannot actually afford to. I have had the pleasure of living in Tennessee, Louisiana, Missouri, Georgia, and Germany and visiting Japan, Italy (LOVED Venice), Denmark, Hungary, and Austria. My current travel dream is to go on a photo shoot to the Serengeti. I love interacting with my students, especially when they are energetic about their own learning and really try.
Because we are about one day behind, let's postpone chapter 4 and "Battle Royal" until Monday. Tomorrow, we will discuss "Luck," "The House on Mango Street," and "And Sarah Laughed." We will discuss "The Shawl" and "The River" on Friday.
